Fine New England Federal Inlaid Mahogany Serpentine Sideboard, Circa 1800–1815 - Elegant Federal inlaid mahogany serpentine sideboard, circa 1800–1815, likely of New England origin, possibly Massachusetts. The beautifully figured mahogany top follows the graceful serpentine contour of the case, centered by a long drawer over double cupboard doors flanked by deep bottle drawers. The façade is richly embellished with contrasting string inlay, broad crossbanded edges, and large oval panels, while the tapered legs display sophisticated bellflower and arrow inlay, a hallmark of Salem and Boston cabinetmaking of the period. Retains its original brass oval pulls and locks. Interior fitted with shelving. 40 in. H, 66 in. W, 24 in. D. Condition: Very good overall; minor veneer shrinkage, light surface marks, and small edge repairs consistent with age and use; retains warm finish and excellent visual presence.
