American Inlaid Mahogany Drop-Leaf Dining Table, Circa 1820–1840 - A handsome early 19th-century American inlaid mahogany drop-leaf dining table, circa 1820–1840. The rectangular top features finely figured mahogany and twin hinged leaves, each outlined with delicate contrasting inlay visible in the photographs. Leaves are supported by swing gate legs, allowing the table to open into an elegant oval dining surface. Raised on squared and tapered legs with understated Classical lines, the table retains a warm, rich surface and balanced proportions characteristic of refined Federal and Classical period craftsmanship. 30 in. H, 56 in. L (closed), 24 in. D (closed), 52 in. D (open). Condition: Very good overall; minor age-related marks and light finish wear; hinges and supports sound; retains attractive color and patina.
