Victorian Mahogany Three-Tier Whatnot, Circa 1870 - A graceful Victorian three-tier whatnot in solid mahogany, featuring three serpentine shelves supported by a square central column and resting on a boldly shaped four-leg base with scrolling cabriole feet. The shelves display rich, warm mahogany grain with molded edges and soft undulating outlines characteristic of mid-19th-century taste. The piece can be displayed at full height or compressed to the lower two-tier form, as shown. A versatile and decorative stand, ideal for porcelain, clocks, or small art objects.
