Exceptional Southern Walnut and Punched-Tin Pie Safe, Circa 1850 - Outstanding mid-19th century Southern walnut pie safe, circa 1850, retaining all original hand-punched tin panels and wooden knobs. The rectangular case features a long upper drawer above two paneled doors, each inset with paired tins decorated in an elaborate sunburst and whirling circle pattern. The sides fitted with matching tin panels, all showing uniform age patina and fine detail. Raised on delicately turned legs with original surface and mellow amber-brown color. Interior fitted with fixed shelves. An unusually complete and well-preserved example of Southern craftsmanship. 50 in. H, 41 in. W, 17 ½ in. D. Condition: Excellent overall; tins all original and intact; minor surface marks and light wear consistent with age; retains warm, untouched finish and superior visual presence.
