Antique Continental Painted Corner Cupboard, 19th Century - A charming 19th-century Continental corner cupboard retaining an appealingly worn original painted surface in deep umbers, greens, and reds. The triangular top sits above a single short drawer decorated with floral motifs, over a paneled door with complementary foliate designs opening to a spacious interior. Raised on shaped bracket feet with a scalloped apron, the cupboard shows hand-hewn boards, early nails, and naïve floral decoration characteristic of rural Alpine or Central European folk furniture.
