Large English Pine Housekeeper’s Cupboard, Late 19th Century - A substantial English pine housekeeper’s cupboard of impressive scale, late 19th century, beautifully crafted in two stacking sections and retaining a warm, mellowed patina. The upper case features four tall paneled doors opening to generous storage, the left side fitted with a hanging rail and the right with adjustable shelves, offering versatile wardrobe or linen capacity. Below, a bank of eight full-width drawers provides ample drawer storage, each constructed with hand-cut dovetails and fitted with oval brass cup pulls and period wooden knobs. The entire piece is framed with wide stiles and a thick cornice, resting on a broad plinth base, lending it a monumental yet inviting farmhouse presence. A well-built, authentically worn English cupboard with excellent vertical proportions and strong decorative impact. Dimensions: 97 in. H, 75 in. W, and 22 in. D.
