Set of Six Carved Victorian Revival Side Chairs, Late 19th Century - A finely carved set of six Victorian Revival side chairs, late 19th century, each crafted in dark-stained hardwood with high pierced and scrolled crests featuring foliate and shell motifs. The molded rectangular backs are framed by turned and fluted stiles topped with knop finials, above upholstered panel backs and overstuffed seats covered in a light cream fabric. Raised on turned front legs with carved collars and tapered rear legs, all well proportioned and sturdy. Seat height approx. 18 in. Overall: 52 in. H, 18.5 in. W, 18 in. D. Condition: Structurally solid; upholstery shows scattered staining and wear; expected surface marks to wood consistent with age; ready for reupholstery to suit.
