Mahogany Broken-Arch Corner Cabinet, Early 20th Century - mpressive Colonial Revival mahogany corner cabinet, early 20th century, inspired by late 18th-century Chippendale and Federal examples. The upper section features double astragal-glazed doors with finely mullioned Gothic tracery, surmounted by a bold broken-arch pediment with central plinth and urn finial flanked by turned flame finials. Below, a midsection of three drawers with lion-mask brass pulls rests above double paneled cupboard doors fitted with brass hardware and a later working lock. The interior fitted with shaped shelves for display, the whole raised on ogee bracket feet. Constructed of richly figured mahogany with excellent finish and presence. 94 in. H, 43 in. W, 25 in. D. Condition: Very good overall; minor age wear and finish rubbing; lower lock and key are later replacements; upper lock currently lacking key; sturdy, handsome, and well-presented.
