Bidspirit auction | American Brilliant Cut Glass Open

American Brilliant Cut Glass Open Sugar Bowl, Early 20th Century - A finely cut American Brilliant Period open sugar bowl featuring deeply notched flared sides rising from a star-cut base. The bowl displays an intricate combination of hobstars, fan motifs, and crosshatched panels arranged within a repeating triangular cartouche pattern. The rim is finished with a crisp sawtooth edge, and the opposing sides are accented with large, well-executed floral intaglio cuts—an uncommon decorative pairing that enhances both sparkle and texture. 6 in. H, approximately 7½–8 in. W (at flared tips). Condition: Excellent overall with sharp cutting and strong clarity; minor shelf wear to base; no chips noted to rim points.
