Bavarian Hand-Painted Portrait Vase, Circa 1880–1890 - Elegant hand-painted Bavarian porcelain portrait vase, circa 1880–1890, decorated in the Rococo Revival taste with raised jewel accents, scrolling cartouches, and polychrome reserves featuring delicate female portrait medallions. The cylindrical body flares to a rolled turquoise rim with gilt flourishes and rests on a boldly modeled rococo foot with scalloped edges, highlighted in soft green, pink, and gold enamels. The vase retains its original hand-applied gilt detailing and displays the typical craftsmanship of late 19th-century Bavarian or Austrian export porcelain. 13 in. H, 5 in. W.
