Antique Continental Pine Blanket Chest, 19th Century - A rustic 19th-century Continental pine blanket chest of dovetailed construction, retaining an appealing timeworn patina throughout. The rectangular hinged lid opens to a spacious interior fitted with a till to one side, with original hand-forged strap hinges visible beneath. The exterior features subtly tapered sides, molded top and base edges, and iron carrying handles mounted to each end.
