Wave Crest Milk Glass Vase with Gilt Metal Mounts, Shield & Harp Mark, C.F. Monroe Co. - An elegant and substantial Wave Crest milk glass vase of tapering cylindrical form, molded in high relief with scrolling rococo ornament and delicately hand-painted pink floral sprays. The satin-finished white glass body is mounted with elaborate gilt metal twin scroll handles, matching collar mount, and foliate feet, all executed in richly cast Victorian taste. The underside bears the faint red shield-and-harp Wave Crest trademark, confirming production by the C.F. Monroe Company of Meriden, Connecticut, circa 1890–1910. 13 in. H, 8 in. W (handle to handle), 4.5 in. dia. Condition: Glass appears free of cracks or repairs. Gilt mounts with minor wear and age-appropriate patina. The factory mark is light but visible. Overall excellent display presence.
