Two 19th Century Framed Silhouette Portraits, attr. Augustin Edouart - American or European, 19th century, comprising two hollow-cut silhouette portraits of gentlemen in profile. One a full-length standing portrait depicting a figure in period attire with defined collar and hand gesture, presented in a later rectangular ebonized frame. Likely American itinerant artist. The second a bust-length profile within an oval gilt liner set in a square ebonized frame with decorative gilt hanger. Both attributed to Augustin Edouart. Both executed in the traditional cut-paper technique against warm toned backing. Larger frame approximately 12 in. H, 7 in. W (sight visible); smaller frame approximately 8 in. H, 6 in. W. Condition: Good overall condition with light toning to backing paper and minor frame wear consistent with age.
