Victorian Walnut Two-Door Wardrobe, Late 19th Century - A late 19th-century Victorian walnut wardrobe, distinguished by its bold architectural cornice and richly figured burl panels. The molded crown with projecting cornice rests above a frieze carved with restrained scrolling foliate detail. The two full-height doors are inset with arched panels showcasing dramatic walnut burl veneers, framed by solid walnut stiles. The lower case features two drawers with carved floral pulls and molded surrounds, raised on short bracket feet with later casters for ease of movement. The overall form reflects the influence of Continental and American Victorian design, balancing solid construction with decorative warmth through the use of figured veneer panels. The rich walnut tones and prominent burl grain provide strong visual presence, making this an attractive storage piece for traditional interiors.
