Royal Furniture Co. Art Deco Burl Walnut Full Size Bed - A striking American Art Deco full size bed by Royal Furniture Co., executed in richly figured burl walnut and retaining its original period character. The gracefully arched headboard features a scalloped inlaid border framing a dramatic field of bookmatched burl veneer, centered with an elegant shield-form marquetry cartouche. The footboard echoes the refined geometry of the period with contrasting panels, fine line inlay, and gilt-accented corner mounts terminating in stylized finials. The bed rails retain the original Royal Furniture Co. medallion plaque, further confirming attribution. The combination of warm walnut tones, bold Deco symmetry, and restrained classical ornamentation makes this an exceptional example of early 20th century American machine-age design.
