Pair of Figural Spelter Banquet Lamps with Frosted Star Shades - Pair of Figural Banquet Lamps, Late 19th/Early 20th Century — An impressive matched pair of cast spelter banquet lamps featuring standing cherub figures supporting richly ornamented oil font reservoirs with scrolling relief decoration. Each rests on an openwork rococo-style base. The lamps retain their frosted globular shades decorated with applied star motifs and tall clear glass chimneys, with gilt metal collars at the shade openings. Converted to electricity. 32 in. H overall, approximately 8 in. D (shade diameter). Condition: Surface wear and oxidation to spelter consistent with age. Finish shows rubbing and minor discoloration. Frosted globes show light wear and scattered marks; no obvious large cracks observed in photographs. Electrified; wiring appears later and should be checked for safety prior to use.
