Pair of Continental Rococo-Style Porcelain Figures, 19th Century - A finely modeled pair of Continental porcelain figures depicting an 18th-century gentleman and lady in courtly attire, each standing atop elaborate rococo scroll bases with openwork and gilt highlights. The male figure wears a green frock coat with gilt trim, striped breeches, and red shoes, holding a flower stem in one hand. The female companion is dressed in a lavender bodice and patterned skirt with delicate gilt accents and floral detailing. Both figures display finely painted facial features with soft blush tones and carefully modeled hair. The scrolling bases are richly ornamented with molded foliate and shell motifs, enhanced with gilt decoration. The underside construction and decorative treatment are consistent with late 19th-century Continental production in the manner of Dresden or Sitzendorf. 13 in. H, 5 in.
