English Oak Barley Twist Sideboard - Impressive English oak sideboard of generous proportions, crafted in a Jacobean Revival taste and featuring a broad rectangular top with a stepped, shaped backsplash incorporating turned pilasters and a central carved tablet. The case is fitted with three central drawers, each with molded panel fronts and brass pulls, flanked by paneled cupboard doors opening to shelved storage compartments. The whole is raised on robust barley twist legs joined by turned stretchers and resting on ball-form feet, a traditional motif derived from 17th century English furniture forms and revived in the late Victorian and Edwardian periods for its bold architectural presence. 46 in H, 72 in W, 22 in D.
