Ornate Victorian-Style Giltwood Box Mirror Cabinet - Highly decorative wall-mounted “box mirror” cabinet, likely late 19th century or later, executed in the Rococo Revival taste. The piece features a domed crest with elaborate openwork scrolling foliage and shell motifs, surmounted by a crown-like cartouche. The front is fitted with two hinged doors, each centered with an intricate pierced relief panel incorporating scrolling acanthus, urn-form ornament, and classical figural mask medallions, opening to reveal a mirrored interior panel. The case is further enhanced with gilt highlights and molded base trim, giving the overall form the appearance of a miniature architectural façade.
