Dates observed include 1900, 1901, multiple 1903 examples, 1904, 1905, several 1906 pieces, 1907, and 1908. All are Philadelphia issues (no mintmarks, as branch mint Indian Head cents were not struck until 1908-S). Composition is the standard bronze alloy of 95% copper, 5% tin and zinc, weighing 3.11 grams each. Combined actual copper weight per coin is approximately 2.95 grams, giving the group a total copper content of roughly 59 grams (nearly 0.13 pounds of copper). While these dates are generally considered common in circulated grades, they remain highly liquid collector staples due to strong demand for full date runs and album completion. Surfaces range from medium brown to darker chocolate patina, with several pieces showing even circulation and clear date visibility. A few examples exhibit areas of verdigris or environmental spotting consistent with long-term storage, while others display sharper feather detail and stronger reverse wreath definition.
