Final two years of the Eisenhower dollar series (1971?1978), representing the closing chapter of America?s last large-format circulation dollar.Dates observed include multiple 1977-D, 1977 (Philadelphia), and 1978-D examples. Reverse features the heraldic eagle landing on the moon, a design inspired by the Apollo 11 mission insignia ? a strong crossover theme for both space memorabilia collectors and modern dollar specialists. These are copper-nickel clad circulation strikes (not 40% silver issues).
