This early Philadelphia issue features Liberty seated on rock without drapery at the elbow, a short-lived and highly collected design subtype. With an original mintage of just 1,060,000 pieces ? modest by later standards ? survivors are increasingly difficult to source in problem-free mid-grade. Strong collector demand exists for first-year type coins, early Seated Liberty silver, and pre-Civil War U.S. coinage. Contains approximately 0.0723 troy ounces of silver.
