1903-O Barber Dime - United States silver dime dated 1903 with ?O? mintmark below the wreath on reverse, struck at the New Orleans Mint. Barber design by Charles E. Barber featuring Liberty head obverse and wreath reverse. Composition .900 fine silver, weight 2.50 grams, containing approximately 0.0723 troy ounces of silver. The 1903-O had a mintage of 1,580,000 pieces, making it one of the lower mintage issues of the early 20th-century Barber dime series and a better New Orleans date. Condition: This example shows attractive mid-grade circulation with strong remaining detail. Liberty?s profile, ear, and portions of the wreath retain definition, and the date is bold and fully legible. Reverse wreath is sharp with clear ?ONE DIME? lettering and a distinct ?O? mintmark. Surfaces display even silver-gray toning with light cabinet friction and no obvious heavy damage visible in the images. Overall eye appeal is above average for the issue in circulated condition. Very Fine detail; clear mintmark; even wear with solid remaining design elements.
