Ancient Greek Silver Stater of Corinth (Pegasus Type), 449-413 BCE, in 14K Gold Pendant Mount, 20 - Ancient Greek silver stater of Corinth, struck circa 449-413 BCE, mounted in a substantial custom 14K yellow gold pendant setting. The obverse features the iconic Pegasus flying left, symbol of Corinthian power and one of the most celebrated types of classical Greek coinage. The reverse displays the helmeted head of Athena, facing left, wearing a Corinthian helmet, emblematic of the city's martial strength and artistic refinement. Corinthian staters were widely circulated trade coins throughout the Mediterranean and are among the most desirable issues of the Classical Greek world. The coin is securely set within a textured, radiating 14K gold mount with sculptural bail, allowing both sides to remain visible. Accompanied by Aber & Levine Ltd. Certificate of Authenticity dated January 6, 2002 (Certificate No. 2807).
