Struck during the final years of the classic Liberty Head series, this large gold coin contains 0.9675 troy oz of pure gold and represents one of the most widely collected U.S. gold denominations. The example offered here displays strong cartwheel luster with pleasing original orange-gold color and well-defined devices throughout the obverse portrait of Liberty and the reverse heraldic eagle.
