Bidspirit auction | Collection of Twenty-Six Roosevelt Silver

Collection of Twenty-Six Roosevelt Silver Dimes - Group of twenty-six United States Roosevelt dimes housed in individual 2x2 holders, primarily dated 1948?1949 with both Philadelphia and Denver mint issues represented, including examples such as 1948, 1948-D, 1949, and 1949-D. These coins represent early years of the Roosevelt dime series, first introduced in 1946 to honor President Franklin D. Roosevelt following his death and long association with the March of Dimes campaign. All coins in this lot were struck in the original 90% silver composition used from 1946 through 1964, each containing approximately 0.0723 troy ounces of pure silver. Early Roosevelt silver dimes remain popular with collectors assembling date and mintmark sets as well as with silver investors seeking pre-1965 U.S. coinage. Condition: Circulated with moderate wear consistent with use; surfaces typical for circulated silver coinage.
