Pair of Continental Genre Oil Paintings on Board after Murillo - Pair of Continental Genre Oil Paintings on Board, 19th/early 20th century, each depicting peasant children in rustic interiors and landscape settings, one with figures eating fruit, the other with a child feeding a dog beside a still life arrangement, rendered in the Old Master taste, housed in later giltwood frames. These paintings are after the Spanish artist Bartolomé Esteban Murillo's ”The Mellon Eaters” and ”The Pie Eaers.” 12.5 in. H, 11 in. W Condition: Surface grime, scattered paint losses and abrasions, visible craquelure; frames with wear and losses to gilt; not examined out of frames.
