American Classical Figured Mahogany Work Table, New York, c. 1825–1840 - A refined American Classical work table in richly figured mahogany, the rectangular top above a case fitted with two drawers featuring boldly grained, convex fronts and turned brass pulls. The upper drawer opens to a divided interior. The case is supported by a turned central pedestal issuing to a concave quadripartite base terminating in carved paw feet. 29 in. H, 21.5 in. W, 17 in. D Condition: Surface wear, scattered scratches, and minor finish inconsistencies consistent with age and use; minor veneer irregularities; hardware appears period-appropriate; drawer interiors with expected wear; overall structurally sound and attractive presentation.
