Pair of Chinese Horseshoe-Back Armchairs (Yoke-Back Style) - A matched pair of Chinese hardwood (elmwood) armchairs in the traditional horseshoe-back (quanyi) form, featuring gracefully curved crest rails terminating in rounded handholds and supported by vertical spindle backs. The solid plank seats are set within a square frame raised on straight legs joined by stretchers, with shaped aprons below the seat. Notably, each chair retains applied metal mounts at the arm supports, inspired by late Qing dynasty. 35 in H x 22 in W x 12 in D Condition: Good overall condition with moderate surface wear, scattered scuffs and abrasions consistent with use, and minor finish inconsistencies; structurally sound.
