American Classical Mahogany Sideboard, New York, circa 1840 - An American Classical mahogany sideboard, New York, featuring a bold architectural form with a shaped backsplash and projecting ends above a case fitted with three frieze drawers over a pair of paneled cabinet doors. The façade is richly figured with striking flame mahogany veneers arranged in bookmatched panels, flanked by engaged columns with carved capitals and terminating in carved paw feet. The drawers retain pressed glass knobs, and the interior opens to fitted shelving. 51 in. H, 59 in. W, 25 in. D Condition: Good antique condition with minor surface wear, light scratches, and finish variation consistent with age and use. Interior shows typical wear. Drawers and doors function as intended. Presents very well.
