Chinese Export Lacquered Sewing Table with Gilt Decoration and Silk Work Bag - Chinese export black lacquered sewing table, likely Canton, mid 19th century, of rectangular form with shaped edges and hinged lid opening to a fitted interior with compartments, lidded boxes, and writing surface, retaining the original suspended silk work bag below. The exterior and interior decorated in gilt with landscape reserves, figures, and floral borders in the traditional export taste. Raised on a trestle base with scrolled supports and carved paw feet, similarly decorated in gilt. 28 in H x 25.5 in W x 16.5 in D Condition: Good overall condition with surface wear, cracking, and lifting to lacquer. Structurally intact.
