Sevres-Style Cobalt Blue and Gilt Mounted Covered Urn - Sevres-style porcelain covered urn featuring a rich cobalt blue ground lavishly decorated with gilt scrolling foliate ornament and classical motifs. The body is centered with a finely painted figural cartouche depicting an 18th-century interior scene with figures in period dress, complemented by a landscape reserve to the reverse. The domed lid is surmounted by a gilt finial and framed with elaborate gilt mounts, including ram’s head mask handles with draped swags. Raised on an ornate square gilt base with paw feet, the form reflects strong Louis XVI revival influence. 26 in. H, 10 in.
