Chinese Han Dynasty Green-Glazed Pottery Jar - A Chinese pottery jar of baluster form, attributed to the Han Dynasty (206 B.C.–220 A.D.), featuring a compressed globular body rising to a flared neck and wide mouth. The surface retains traces of green lead glaze, now largely weathered, with areas of encrustation and earthen accretions consistent with burial and age. The form aligns with known Han dynasty utilitarian and funerary wares, produced for tomb provisioning, with the remaining glaze concentrated around the upper register and neck. 6 in. H, 4 in. W Condition: Extensive surface weathering and encrustation throughout; losses to glaze; no visible major structural breaks.
