Pair of Renaissance Revival Carved Bedside Cabinets - Pair of Renaissance Revival carved bedside cabinets, late 19th century, en suite with the preceding bed and wardrobe, each of robust architectural form with molded tops above a frieze drawer carved with floral rosettes and swag garlands, over a paneled cupboard door centered by a lion mask medallion. The corners flanked by full-height carved telamon figures supporting the upper structure, raised on stepped plinth bases with repeating classical moldings. Executed in dark-stained hardwood exhibiting bold sculptural carving and cohesive design consistent with a monumental bedroom suite. 31 in H x 35.5 in W x 16 in D (each) Condition: Good overall condition with wear consistent with age and use; surface wear, scuffs, and areas of finish loss; structurally sound; interiors not examined in detail.
