Pair of English School Seasonal Prints “April” and “July,” After Bartolozzi and Hamilton - A pair of oval-form figural prints depicting pastoral seasonal scenes titled “April” and “July, ” after designs by W. Hamilton, R.A., and engraved by F. Bartolozzi, R.A., each with visible publisher’s line “Republished by Louis Wolff & Co. Ltd., 245 Tottenham Court Road, London.” The compositions show domestic rural subjects including fishing and pastoral activity, presented in later hand-colored or chromolithographic form and housed in gilt molded frames. 16 in. H, 13.5 in. W Condition: Toning and scattered foxing to sheets, visible spotting and discoloration particularly to margins; not examined out of frames; frames with light wear, surface abrasions, and minor losses to gilt finish.
