Monumental Renaissance Revival Marble-Top Sideboard - Monumental Renaissance Revival carved mahogany sideboard, late 19th century, featuring a dramatic black marble top with bold ochre veining above a richly ornamented case. The frieze with applied carved scrollwork and shell motifs, centered by an elaborate cartouche, over a deep open serving well. The facade supported by heavily carved scrolled brackets terminating in paw feet, flanked by bowed side cabinets with paneled doors and interior shelving. The robust carving, architectural massing, and luxurious marble surface exemplify high Victorian Renaissance Revival design. 40 in H x 81 in W x 26 in D Condition: Good overall condition with expected age-related wear; marble top with edge chips, surface scratches, and natural inclusions; scattered scuffs and finish wear to wood; structurally sound.
