American Empire Mahogany Chest of Drawers - American Empire mahogany chest of drawers, mid-19th century, with a rectangular case above a projecting molded frieze drawer and three lower drawers, each with rich crotch and figured mahogany veneers, turned wooden pulls, and keyhole escutcheons. The front is flanked by bold scrolled Empire supports terminating in heavy scroll feet joined by a shaped lower rail, with paneled sides and a polished figured surface of strong visual appeal. 45 in. H, 44 in. W, 24 in. D. Condition: Good antique condition with expected age and use wear, including scattered scratches, finish wear, minor veneer imperfections, small losses, and abrasions.
