American Classical Mahogany Bench with Scalamandre Upholstery, Natchez Provenance - American Classical mahogany bench, circa 1830-1850, of elegant rectangular form with richly figured mahogany frame, scrolled end supports, rounded bolster-form end rails, molded base, and small brass casters. The bench is fitted with Scalamandr? floral upholstery and coordinating pillows and was purchased from Pippen's Ltd Antiques & Interiors, Natchez, Mississippi, a noted Natchez antiques source. 20 in. H, 53 in. W, 18 in. D. Condition: Good antique condition with minor scattered surface wear, small marks, age cracks, and finish wear consistent with age and use. Upholstery presents well with light wear. Casters present.
