American Empire Mahogany Sofa - American Empire mahogany sofa, circa 1845, having a sweeping molded crest rail over a long upholstered back and seat, with scrolled arms, bold shaped side supports, figured mahogany show frame, curved apron with brass nailhead trim, and brass casters. The sofa is upholstered in handsome red and cream striped fabric. 39 in. H, 84 in. W, 29 in. D, 19 in. seat height. Condition: Good antique condition with minor finish wear, scattered marks, age cracks, and surface abrasions consistent with age and use. Upholstery presents well with light wear. Casters present.
