Pair of American Empire Mahogany Upholstered Benches, c.1830-1845 - Pair of American Empire mahogany upholstered benches, circa 1830-1845, each having a rectangular upholstered cushion over a richly figured mahogany base with bold molded plinth sides, stepped block feet, and small casters. The benches retain a strong period classical profile with deep mahogany color and pleasing architectural form, now upholstered in gold lattice-patterned fabric. 19 in. H, 37 in. W, 18 in. D. Condition: Good antique condition with minor surface wear, scattered marks, finish wear, and age-related imperfections consistent with period use. Upholstery presents well with light age-related wear. Casters present.
