Text reads in part: ”Sold by authority of the Lee Memorial Association for the erection of a monument at the tomb of Genl. R. E. Lee at the Washington & Lee University, Lexington, Virginia, ” with printed/facsimile signatures including ”R. E. Lee, Genl.” and ”Genl. W. N. Pendleton, Chairman.” Presented under glass in a gilt frame with wide mat. 32 in. H, 27.5 in. W.
