Large Victorian Renaissance Revival Carved Oak Sideboard Cabinet, Leaded Stained Glass Door - Victorian Renaissance Revival carved oak sideboard cabinet, late 19th century, of highly architectural form with a projecting molded cornice above a carved dentil and gadrooned frieze. The upper superstructure is centered by a large leaded and stained-glass cabinet door with pebbled glass ground and floral ribbon decoration in colored glass, flanked by open side display shelves with scalloped arches, turned column supports, and spindle galleries. Below the upper cabinet is a carved backsplash shelf with baluster gallery and foliate carved panels. The lower case features a broad serving surface over two long frieze drawers with deeply gadrooned carved fronts and brass pulls, above a pair of paneled cabinet doors with elaborate geometric raised moldings, diamond-form carved reserves, and conforming carved borders. The case is further ornamented with turned and carved side columns, carved pilasters, molded base, and paneled back construction. 107 in. H, 63.5 in. W, 25 in. D. Condition: Good overall antique condition with expected age and use wear, scattered surface scratches, finish wear, shrinkage, small chips and abrasions to carved high points, and minor losses or separations consistent with age. Leaded and stained-glass door appears intact and presents well.
