Fine American Classical Flame Mahogany Marble-Top Mixing / Ham Table - Fine American Classical flame mahogany marble-top mixing table, circa 1835?1845, possibly Baltimore or Philadelphia, made for the Southern market. Also known in the South as a ham table, and related to the form commonly called a mint julep table or mixing cabinet. The case features a black and gold variegated marble top above a bold cove-molded frieze, fine crotch/flame mahogany veneers, scrolled side brackets with ball drops, mirrored cabinet door, and shelved interior. Raised on a plinth base with shaped skirt and short block feet. A scarce and desirable Southern-use serving form. 39 in. high x 30 in. wide x 15 in. deep. Condition: Very good antique condition with old surface. Presents very well.
