American Empire Rosewood and Mahogany Bookcase - American Empire bookcase, mid-19th century, in mahogany with rosewood or highly figured rosewood-grained veneers, having a bold molded cornice above two glazed doors opening to adjustable shelves, flanked by carved foliate pilasters, over two lower drawers with figured fronts and turned wooden pulls, raised on shaped bracket feet. Dimensions: 91 in. H, 51 in. W, 15 in. D. Condition: Antique condition with wear consistent with age and use, including surface wear, veneer wear and repairs, scuffs, shrinkage cracks, finish variation, oxidation and waviness to glass, and general age-related imperfections.
