Set of Twelve Empire-Style Mahogany Dining Chairs - Set of twelve Empire-style mahogany dining chairs, including two armchairs and ten side chairs, each with a rounded tablet crest rail above a shaped central splat, saber-form rear supports, curved front legs, and upholstered slip seats in a pale yellow patterned fabric. The set is well matched in form and finish and pairs attractively with the American Classical Empire dining table at Lot 89, though the chairs appear more likely later reproductions or high-quality revival examples rather than period circa 1840 chairs. 34 in. H, 20 in. W, 18 in. D, 18 in. seat height. Condition: Good overall condition with expected light wear from use, including minor surface scratches, finish wear, small abrasions, and scattered upholstery wear. Some variation to finish and minor age/use marks.
