American Empire Mahogany Extension Dining Table, C. 1840 - Empire mahogany extension dining table, circa 1840, having a circular top when closed with a deep molded apron and richly figured mahogany veneers, raised on bold lyre-form pedestal supports joined by a shaped platform base and ending on scrolled feet with casters. The table opens to accept five leaves. 30.5 in. H, 47 in. W, 27.5 in. D. Full extension: 111.5 in. W. Condition: Good antique condition overall with expected wear from age and use, including surface scratches, finish wear, veneer separations and repairs, age cracks, minor losses, and scattered abrasions.Base with expected wear at feet and casters.
