American Classical Mahogany Sewing Stand / Work Table, ca. 1830-1850 - A fine American Classical mahogany sewing stand or work table, mid-19th century, having a richly figured mahogany drop-leaf top above two graduated drawers with rounded fronts, brass escutcheons, and mixed turned pulls. The table is raised on four boldly spiral-turned legs joined beneath by a suspended fabric work bag. From Ormonde Plantation, Natchez, Mississippi. 31 in. H, 19 in. W, 20 in. D. Condition: Good antique condition with age-appropriate surface wear, minor veneer and finish wear, scattered scratches, small losses, and expected shrinkage.
