Victorian Rosewood Secretary Bookcase - A fine Victorian rosewood secretary bookcase, late 19th century, of tall architectural form with richly figured rosewood surface and a pierced carved pediment crest. The upper section has a projecting molded cornice above two glazed doors with rounded rectangular frames, opening to adjustable interior shelves. The lower section features a slant-front writing desk opening to a fitted interior with small drawers and pigeonholes above a red inset writing surface, with a long drawer below and two paneled cabinet doors flanked by turned columns.
