Pair of Italian Rococo Revival Giltwood Mirrors, Late 19th/Early 20th Century - Pair of Italian or Continental Rococo Revival giltwood mirrors, late 19th to early 20th century, each with rectangular beveled mirror plate set within a beaded inner border and surrounded by an ornate pierced giltwood frame. The frames are carved with scrolling acanthus leaves, foliate C-scrolls, shell-form lower ornament, and dramatic shell-and-leaf cresting. 24.5 in. H, 19 in. W, 6 in. D. Condition: Good overall condition with scattered age-appropriate gilt wear, rubbing, minor losses, and surface oxidation.
