Pair of Victorian Carved Walnut Parlor Armchairs, Gentleman's and Lady's Chairs - Pair of Victorian carved walnut parlor armchairs, late 19th century, comprising a larger gentleman?s chair and smaller lady?s chair, each with shaped oval upholstered back, serpentine seat, molded balloon-form frame, scrolled arms, cabriole legs, and small brass casters. The crest rails are carved with fruit, foliage, and scroll ornament, with rich red and gold damask upholstery in a period-appropriate Victorian taste. Larger chair measures 42 in. H, 24 in. W, 20.5 in. D, seat height 15 in. Smaller chair measures 39.5 in. H, 23 in. W, 20.5 in. D, seat height 14 in. Condition: Good antique condition with scattered finish wear, minor abrasions, small nicks, and age-related wear to frames. Upholstery presents well.
